We all know and love Bobby Flay, and that means we were all just a little bit sad when he and his wife of 10 years announced their separation. Stephanie March is his second wife; he was married for two short years in the early 90s, but this one really did seem like a marriage that would last. After all, who would not want to be married to someone who creates the kind of food Flay creates? Well, it seems his wife. But that’s all right. Now that the famous Food Network chef is back on the market – and we have no actual idea if he’s looking – we thought we’d play celebrity matchmaker and see if we could find him a new love interest. We have a few fabulous thoughts. Women that might be a good fit for Flay; women with their own stuff going on, their own lives and even a few that could use one of his famous Bobby Filets. So here are the women we think he should hit up for his first date as a newly single man.
Bethenny Frankel
Okay, so there are people that just don’t like her, but I’m not one of them. She’s hardcore, she has a lot to say and she’s refreshingly unapologetic. And she’s a good cook. So the two of them could sit around drinking her cocktails and arguing over who makes the best honey drizzled baked Brie.
Giada De Laurentis
Obviously they work closely together. She’s cute, she cooks. She has her own shows, he has his own shows. They could see each other when they felt like it and they could host amazing dinner parties at home and invite me because that would be the dream of my lifetime come true.
Katie Holmes
She’s so sweet and charismatic. She’s private, but she has a life of her own. They’d make a lovely match. They could stroll hand in hand through the streets of Nantucket selecting fresh seafood she could help him cook as they sip wine and enjoy beautiful views. It could work.
Debra Messing
I don’t even know if she’s single, but when I picture Bobby Flay I immediately see Debra Messing standing next to him. I have no idea why, but I do like it so I’m rooting for this one to work out.
Jennifer Lawrence
She loves to eat. She’s funny and self-deprecating. She’s got a job and a life of her own and she doesn’t seem like the needy, clingy type. He could feed her and they would probably live happily ever after. There’s that whole crazy age difference thing, but it might work with this one.
