Jill Goodacre Biography
Jill Goodacre Connick is an American former model and actress. She was one of Victoria’s Secret’s main models in the 1980s and early 1990s. In 1994, she appeared as herself (Jill Goodacre) in an episode “The One with the Blackout” of the American sitcom Friends. She directed one of her husband’s live performance videos (The New York Big Band Concert) in 1992, and she appears in several of his music videos.
On her love of un-model-like bacon & eggs, pork chops, and chicken-fried steaks; “I’m a meat girl and I just love having a beer.” She retired after she got married to her husband, Connick Jr.

Her mother, Glenna, is now married to Dallas attorney C.L. Mike Schmidt. She has one brother called Tim.

Goodacre got married to Harry Connick Jr. in 1994 in a Catholic ceremony at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. Together with their three daughters, the family, currently lives in New Canaan, Connecticut.

She, Stephanie Seymour, and Dutch model Frederique helped Victoria’s Secret grow from a new company to one of the world’s giants in women’s lingerie, hosiery, swimwear, and clothing.

In 2012, Goodacre was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer after a biopsy. Due to the numerous back to back surgeries and radiation she underwent, she gained a lot of weight. However, in 2018 everything seemed to get back to normal after battling cancer for 6 years. She showed off a trim waistline and toned arms as she took her photos on the gold carpet. The beauty modeled a black gown that seemed to have a spiderweb design with a mermaid finish. Her hair was partly pulled back and she had on pretty makeup with diamond earrings and a black clutch purse.
Admitting the depressions, she underwent, ‘I’ve always been a pretty fit person, and so to be just rounder and heavier and not to really be able to do much about it — that’s been hard. It’s taken a lot out of my self-confidence,’ said Jill. Her husband too admitted that he was afraid of losing her. ‘I was scared I was going to lose her, absolutely. I wasn’t going to let her see that, but I was. I know from losing my mom that the worst can happen. She’s my best friend, and I really don’t know what I would do without her,’ he said.
