Kasabian headlined Reading and Leeds Festival on the main stage on Friday night and paid tribute to the late Sir Bruce Forsyth.
The musicians also covered Daft Punk’s ‘Around the World’ after which vocalist Tom Meighan shouted to the fans: “Thankyou Reading. You know what? I’m still alive. I’m f*cking still alive!”

Kasabian had to cancel a show at Custom House Square in Belfast after Meighan was struck down with a fever which hospitalised him.
Meighan used Facebook to tell his followers about his unexpected illness and the cancellation of the concert, writing:
“Absolutely gutted to have to cancel last night’s show in Belfast. We were all at Custom House Square, ready to go on stage when Tom suddenly went down with severe vomiting and could hardly stand up let alone sing.”

“He was taken to hospital, put on a drip and told to rest up. We had no option but to cancel and we’re sorry to our fans and anyone that travelled a long way.”
“Thanks so much for all your messages of support. Details on the rescheduled date to follow soon xx,” the statement explained.
But Kasabian – which also includes Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Karloff and Chris Edwards – have recently announced that they are to tour the UK and Ireland for twelve dates later this year.
Meanwhile, fans were loving their show at the festival and pleaded for “one more song” as the show was coming to an end and the band delivered.
Meighan shouted out to Sir Bruce Forsyth and sang “Bruce Forsyth, I’ll see you on the other side” during a rendition of ‘Vlad The Impaler’.

Noel Fielding also joined them on stage during the song and even joked: “I have killed many people in my time. I also present cake show.”
Kasabian’s tour will begin at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on the 24th of November and will finish at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on December 9th.
