In 2020, Gervonta 'Tank' Davis won Ring Magazine KO of the year when he knocked out Leo Santa Cruz.
The pair clashed for the WBA super featherweight world title and while Santa Cruz began the fight boxing well, Davis quickly put a stop to this, as the fight did not make it out of the sixth round.
Ringside footage shows the moment that Davis landed a crushing uppercut on Santa Cruz, as sweat can be seen flying off his face.
As soon as the punch lands, Santa Cruz collapses to the canvas and lies there unconscious as the referee waves off the bout.
Celebrations ensue for Davis, who had just secured a career bests victory, and it even impressed former two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor.
“My lord! What a vicious uppercut that was. Praying for the health and safety of Santa Cruz there," McGregor tweeted.
“The young man “Tank” Davis has some serious venom in that back hand shot. Incredible!”
Santa Cruz was taken to hospital following the fight and fortunately made a full recovery, but he has only fought once since.

Tank will be hoping for a similar outcome when he comes up against Ryan Garcia in a mega fight on Saturday night.
And it appears Davis is extremely confident he will beat Garcia, as he is willing to bet his whole purse on the fight.
The pair spoke earlier this week on Instagram live and Davis asked Garcia: “Yo, you wanna bet?” in reference to their upcoming clash.
“Yeah, let’s do it… I’m down,” Garcia responded, Tank once again questioned: “The whole purse?”
Garcia refused to back down, as he said: “Let’s do it the whole purse.
“You hear me on the live, let’s go, let’s make a contract, let’s sign it, both of us, let’s do it, if you really want it.”
